August 17, 2014 Farmer's Special


Two weeks into the drying stage, our garage smells like an Italian restaurant.  Poor Ozzie sneaked out there one night. I heard his weak meow the next morning - probably held his breath all night.
Today, we discarded the decaying stalks and cut the roots - and amazingly - the intense garlic smell is gone. Jeff did a quick weigh and came up with 20 pounds of Music, German White, Italian Red and Spanish Roja.
